CURRENT SITUATION IN VIETNAM

According to statistics from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, approximately 1.8 million tons of plastic waste are released into the environment each year in Vietnam, with around 0.28–0.73 million tons entering the ocean. Unfortunately, only 27% of this waste is recycled or reused by businesses and facilities.

A concerning reality is that plastic waste management and recycling are limited, as up to 90% of plastic waste is handled by landfilling, burying, or incinerating, leaving only 10% to be recycled.

Most plastic waste consists of single-use or short-lived items like straws, cutlery, food containers, and plastic bags, which are discarded after minimal use.

We are facing one of the greatest threats to our environment and human health.

DO YOU REALLY NEED A PRODUCT THAT LASTS ONLY A FEW HOURS BUT TAKES MILLIONS OF YEARS TO DECOMPOSE?
